ode to odelisque

in an effort to express vulnerability, dare i expose myself and let down my guard, my mask?
it is a first for me to photograph myself in this state of undress. truth. and it's frightening to me. but, it is not crude or vulgar, it is my truth and it is beautiful. i have taken from the great Ingres and twisted his famous Le Grande Odelisque. beginning my journey with a study, it may be one of the most honest works i have ever made as i believe it should be. if with each major work i grow, each major work should become more sincere. so with slight fear and apprehension i give this over to public consumption.
