I took this photo 2 days ago. It's the Paul Bunyun-esq portrait of Chef Christian Decker. I have some more formal portraits of him looking like a young Fidel Castro.
This is Cotterpin. It's an unedited version of my latest portrait. I'm going to work more with animals on this extravagant vintage style furniture. He was a happy accident coming out of a shoot of my friend in her living room.
Just Posting this because he's pretty awesome. Need him for a party? Just to have around...ya know, he's for hire! You can find him on rt. 38 in cherry hill, nj @ webers.
I was thinking about the first pictures I took with my first manual 35mm camera, an old Olympus OM1, given to me by my step-dad.
I have had this camera since I was 15 years old, that's 18 years now. Over the years I would pull it out and each time I would call my dad and ask him about aperture and shutter speed. I loved the magic of trying to make a picture.
This is from the first roll of film I shot it's a photo of my high school friend Matt Kirscht. He's a brilliant & successful self-taught painter.
